The other part — coaching — depends on the level, the groups, the batch timing and what is included, and any single number you see on a website is hiding at least one of those.
Quick answer: CMA course fees in Coimbatore are made up of ICMAI’s own registration and exam fees, which are fixed and public (about ₹60,000 to ₹65,000 across all three levels on a clean first attempt), plus the coaching fee, which varies by institute, level, groups and batch. These figures are paid directly to the Institute of Cost Accountants of India through its portal, never to a coaching institute, and they do not change from Coimbatore to Chennai to Kolkata. The variable part: what a coaching fee should include
A coaching fee in Coimbatore can look very different from one institute to the next, and the reason is almost always what sits inside it. Before you compare two numbers, make sure they are paying for the same things. At minimum, a fee for a CMA level should cover:
- Classroom (or live online) teaching for every paper of the group — not the “easy” papers with the rest left to self-study.
- Printed or digital study material written for the current ICMAI syllabus, and past-paper scanners.
- A test batch: paper-wise tests and full-length papers written under exam timing, with individually corrected answer sheets.

Is the ICMAI fee paid to the coaching institute?
No. ICMAI registration and exam fees are paid on the ICMAI portal directly. A coaching institute may help you fill the form, but the money goes to the Institute.
Are CMA coaching fees in Coimbatore lower than in Chennai?
Coaching fees vary institute by institute in both cities. The reliable saving in Coimbatore is living cost — no hostel, no relocation — which is usually far larger than any difference in coaching fees.
Can the coaching fee be paid in instalments?
