CMA Intermediate Coaching in Coimbatore
Eight papers, two groups, 800 marks — and the level where most CMA aspirants in India stall. Intermediate is where the course stops rewarding memory and starts rewarding method. That is exactly what we teach.
Foundation or Graduation
Cleared CMA Foundation, or a graduate in any stream other than Fine Arts.
Rs.23,100
Registration fee for both groups, paid to ICMAI. Coaching fee separate.
8 papers · 800 marks
Two groups of four papers. Attempt one group or both together.
June & December
Registration for the June 2027 term is open now.
You may not need CMA Foundation at all
This is the single most useful thing a commerce graduate in Coimbatore can learn about CMA: if you hold a degree, you can enter CMA Intermediate directly and skip Foundation entirely. Every year we meet graduates who spent months preparing for a Foundation exam they never had to write.
- Passed CMA Foundation — the standard route for students who started after school
- Graduate in any discipline except Fine Arts — enter Intermediate directly, no Foundation
- Qualified CAT Level 1, CS Foundation or CA Intermediate — also eligible for direct entry
- Working professionals — a degree plus a job is a valid starting position, and our timings are built for it
Group I — Papers 5 to 8
400 marks. This group builds the technical base: law, accounting, taxation and costing. Paper 7 changes with every Finance Act, so material age matters more here than anywhere else in the course.
| Paper | Subject | Code | Marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paper 5 | Business Laws and Ethics | BLE | 100 |
| Paper 6 | Financial Accounting | FA | 100 |
| Paper 7 | Direct and Indirect Taxation | DITX | 100 |
| Paper 8 | Cost Accounting | CA | 100 |
Group II — Papers 9 to 12
400 marks. This group is analytical rather than procedural. Paper 11 now carries a business data analytics component, and Paper 12 Management Accounting is where the CMA identity really begins.
| Paper | Subject | Code | Marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paper 9 | Operations Management and Strategic Management | OMSM | 100 |
| Paper 10 | Corporate Accounting and Auditing | CAA | 100 (50 + 50) |
| Paper 11 | Financial Management and Business Data Analytics | FMDA | 100 (80 + 20) |
| Paper 12 | Management Accounting | MA | 100 |
40 in every paper. 200 in the group.
You need 40% in each paper and 50% aggregate within the group. Each group is cleared and carried separately, so a cleared Group I stays cleared while you work on Group II.
The strategic question is whether to attempt one group or both. Working professionals almost always do better taking one group properly than two groups half-prepared. We will give you an honest answer for your situation, not the answer that sells a bigger batch.
- Paper-wise faculty — taxation taught by someone who tracks the Finance Act
- Stepwise solutions: formula stated, then applied, then the shortcut
- Mirror question papers set in the exact ICMAI pattern and marks split
- Module-wise answer keys so you can self-evaluate between classes
- Tamil and English video sessions for revision after class
- Pay Once, Learn Till You Pass — repeat the batch at no extra fee
Practical training is part of the qualification
CMA Intermediate is not only an examination. ICMAI requires practical training, and students who leave it to the end of the course find it delaying their membership by months. We flag the training requirement at admission, not at the end, so your exam plan and training plan run together instead of colliding.
CMA Intermediate — your questions answered
Yes. A graduate in any discipline other than Fine Arts can register directly for CMA Intermediate. You do not write the Foundation exam at all. For most graduates this saves close to a year, and it is the first thing we check when a graduate walks in.
It depends on your hours, not your ambition. A full-time student with clear months ahead can attempt both. A working professional or a final-year student with college exams almost always does better clearing Group I properly, then Group II. We will tell you which you are after one honest conversation about your week.
Students most often struggle with Paper 7 Direct and Indirect Taxation, because it changes every year and rewards current material over old notes, and Paper 12 Management Accounting, because it demands reasoning rather than recall. Both are teachable — they simply punish passive studying.
ICMAI charges Rs.23,100 as the Intermediate registration fee for both groups, paid directly to the Institute. MPA’s coaching fee is separate and varies by batch and by whether you take one group or both. Message us for the exact current figure.
Yes, and a good share of our Intermediate students do. Timings, recorded sessions and WhatsApp doubt clearing exist for exactly this. What working students need most is a realistic group strategy, which is the first thing we plan with you.
Both. ICMAI study modules remain the official source, and we teach alongside our own notes, mirror question papers and stepwise answer keys written for the 2022 syllabus — the same material our rank holders used.
Exams are held in June and December, so the realistic window is one to two attempts per group depending on your start date and whether you take one group or both. What decides it is rarely intelligence — it is whether the first attempt was taken seriously or treated as a trial.
Tell us where you are, and we will tell you the honest route
Graduate or Foundation-cleared, working or full-time, one group or two — the right plan is different for each. Ask us before you register, not after.
