Every student who clears CMA Final asks the same question: does ICMAI actually hand me a job at the end of it?
Quick answer
ICMAI campus placement is real, and it is the easiest first interview a newly qualified CMA will ever get. But it is not an automatic job. ICMAI invites the companies; the companies shortlist whom they want to meet; only shortlisted candidates are called. Plenty of qualified CMAs are never shortlisted and find their first job off-campus instead — which is normal, not a failure.
How ICMAI campus placement actually works
ICMAI runs the CMA Campus Placement Programme in phases after each exam term. Phase I for the June 2026 qualified batch is running through October and November 2026. ICMAI brings in recruiters — PSUs, banks, manufacturing groups and IT-services firms — and publishes a schedule that is updated continuously as more companies confirm.
The important detail: shortlisting is done by the recruiting organisations, not by the institute. You do not apply company by company. Your profile sits in the pool, and the companies pick from it.
Who can attend
It is not only for the newest batch. The current schedule lists candidates qualified in the June 2026 term alongside December 2025, June 2025 and earlier terms. So if you qualified a year ago and are still searching, you are still eligible to register for this phase.

Where the interviews happen — and what that means for a Coimbatore student
Drives are held at ICMAI’s regional centres — typically Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai — and some interviews are conducted online. Chennai is the nearest centre for most Tamil Nadu students, so budget for the train fare and a night’s stay. The centre list is not the same in every phase, so check the published schedule rather than assuming Chennai is on it.
The honest part: campus is one route, not the route
Campus placement hires a minority of each qualified batch. Treat it as one of two parallel efforts, not as the finish line.

What gets a fresher shortlisted either way is the same short list: clearing both groups without too many attempts, completing ICMAI practical training properly, and being able to talk clearly about costing, variance analysis and GST in an interview.
